Lookwell Investments Limited was recognized among the major international companies that added significant value to the Harvest Money Expo that was organized in Kampala, Uganda on February 7-March 1, 2026.
Lookwell was specifically honored for their instrumental role in educating farmers on how to improve soil fertility besides sharing several other transformative ideas for the farmers.
Besides Lookwell, the other recipients of recognition were the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries (MAAIF), Tunga Nutrition, DFCU Bank, Century Bottling through its Pepsi brand and ENGSOL.
Lookwell Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Paul Mark Kayongo received the certificate on behalf of his company.
He sounded proud of the company’s participation in the expo.
“We are proud to have participated in the expo. We have been able to network with the biggest players in the farming business in Uganda. As Lookwell, we thank Vision Group for this wonderful initiative and for recognizing Lookwell’s contribution to the expo,” said Kayongo.
“We also appreciate the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands for supporting this great initiative,” said Kayongo.
Lookwell’s mission is to deliver innovative, inclusive, and sustainable environmental solutions that improve waste management, expand clean energy access, and support resilient communities across Uganda and beyond.
Vision Group CEO Don Wanyama said the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands recently renewed its partnership, committing to a four-year extension.
Speaking at the 2026 Harvest Money Expo, Ambassador of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Frederieke Quispel, commended the expo.
Ambassador Quispel had earlier confirmed the embassy’s renewed partnership with Vision Group, noting a new contribution of sh4.1b for the next phase of partnership.
“There is so much business to be done,” Ambassador Quispel said, noting that while the economic potential of agriculture is increasingly being tapped, significant opportunities remain for the farmers.
The ambassador emphasized the importance of smallholder farmers working in cooperative groups to improve access to quality inputs, finance and markets.
The 10-year anniversary of the Harvest Money expo also saw the recognition of several other companies that have supported the Expo over the years. The expo promoted agricultural innovation in Uganda under theme, Farming as Business.
The expo was sponsored by the Kingdom of the Netherlands, ENGSOL, Tunga Nutrition, aBi, Pearl Bank, Pepsi, Uganda Development Corporation (UDC), Heifer International, Roke Telecom, the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries (MAAIF), and the Uganda Revenue Authority.
